EMT Program Objectives:
The Emergency Medical Technician course prepares the student to provide prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study include an introduction to EMS profession, Anatomy and Physiology, EMS Operations, Assessment, Airway Management, Pharmacology, Shock, Trauma, Medical Emergencies, and caring for special patient populations.
The student must complete
• All courses are taught in sequence and each student must successfully complete each course with at least a 70% to advance to the next course.
• Achieve 100% in lab participation
• 60 hours of clinical field experience

Advanced EMT Program Objectives:
The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician course prepares the student to provide more in-depth assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study include a fundamental concept, advanced airway management, advanced pharmacology with medication administration including initiation of intravenous and intraosseous access, shock and trauma, and medical emergencies for the advanced emergency medical technician. 48 hours of clinical experience in a hospital setting and 84 hours in a field setting.

All courses are taught in sequence and each student must successfully complete each course with at least a 70% to advance to the next course.
Achieve 100% in lab participation
60 hours of clinical field experience
132 hours of clinical hospital experience.
